Sustainability
Sustainability
- Every part of the flax plant can be used in the production of linen, so there is zero wastage.
- Flax uses 99.9% natural irrigation (rainwater!) so it doesn’t require additional water usage to grow.
- It is grown with no GMO and is a hardy crop that requires very little fertilizer.
- Linen is a highly durable fabric, which is built to last. This means less waste and ultimately less consumption.
- Piglet in Bed’s linen is OEKO-TEX certified which means it contains no harmful substances.
Origin

At Piglet in Bed, they source all of their linen from across Western Europe, where 80% of the world's linen production takes place.
All Piglet in Bed's linen is OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certified . Some of it is woven and sewn in China and the rest is woven and sewn in Portugal (such as their linen gingham bedding collection). Head to their Journal to find out more about the wonderful fabric that is linen, as well as information on how to care for your linen bedding.
About Piglet in Bed
About Piglet in Bed
Piglet in Bed in 2017 from the garden shed of the founder's mother in rural England with just a small range of linen bedding and a couple of cheeky piglets who were willing to be their first models. Today, they've expanded their collection to include beautiful, low-maintenance bedding, sleepwear and homewares.
Using sustainably-sourced natural materials, Piglet in Bed creates products that only get better with love and time. A favorite linen sheet becomes infused with our own stories, eventually being passed down through generations.
